A carved bog oak bracelet and earring set. The set features a Irish medieval ruin, probably one of the abbeys. Ireland has many dramatic medieval and earlier ruins set in the green hills. The most famous is Blarney Castle, but there are many more in this ancient country. The carved ruins medallion centers a bracelet of carved shamrocks. The matching earrings feature smaller carvings of the ruins surrounded by shamrocks. The earring carvings are 1.7 cm in diameter and they have the original Victorian brass wires. The bracelet is strung on modern black elastic, and when relaxed is an oval 6 by 4 cm. The set is in excellent condition.
